One of the
most prominent and heated debates of our time has been about
Creation and Evolution. Is creation an act of evolution, or
is evolution an act of creation? Did it take God 6 days and
6 nights to create, or was creation instant? Do the created
have a right to create?
Questions such
as these are musically asked in an instrumental CD
compilation called ‘The Evolution of Creation’ by acclaimed
Ismaili Muslim artist Shams. Answers are not provided, but
opinions flourish. The History of Spirituality is explored.
Upon listening to the varied instrumental tracks, a
mechanism is triggered whereby one is able to look deep down
within one’s soul to deliver these answers by means of
logical personal search.
Shams’ music
explores a varied landscape, filled with stars, oceans,
mountains, forests, humans and angels not only on a surreal,
physical world but a spiritual realm as well. He
effortlessly mixes melodies and rhythms from the East and
West to create a sound and style that is his own. Combining
Trance, Progressive, Lounge, Classical, Dance and
Contemporary, the resulting soundscape is a majestic wonder.
